Nestled in the heart of leafy, suburban Newtown, The Retreat builds on the legacy of community and connection enjoyed by the site in its former life as Bareena Post Office. With just 50 seats, it offers an intimate dining experience with a warm, European-inspired ambience.
The menu, crafted by award-winning chef Eli Grubb, draws from classic French cuisine—featuring a curated à la carte selection, the chef’s “Dinner Du Jour”, and ‘Fromage et Vin’—cheese and wine hour served Thursday to Sunday, 3–5pm.
The Retreat is currently serving lunch Tuesday through Sunday, and dinner Thursday through Sunday.
